Evermoor

EvermoorEvermoor is the third largest town in the Dales. Located on Page Lake, where the Boarwood meets the shore, the town is a eclectic mix of hardy Dalelanders and ephemeral Elves. The architecture of Evermoor is part frontier town, part Elven tree city. It’s buildings follow the lay of the land, which swiftly becomes forested hills as it rises away from the waters of the lake. At night, the lights of the town amongst the trees reflect against the lake like the stars in the dark sky.

Evermoor’s livelihood comes from fishing the large lake, mining the ore from the mountains, and harvesting the timber of the Boarwood. Many of these resources make their way down the Highwater to Colm. The town is governed by a mayor, appointed by the Duke, who serves an eight year term. Law is enforced by the sheriff, who is appointed by the mayor.

Evermoor is also the gateway to the northern Lothian Forest, and this accounts for the strong presence of Elves in the town. The inhabitants of Evermoor strive to stay on good terms with the Elven Court in Avalyr, deep within the Lothian. Joint teams of Elven rangers and Eastwood Wardens patrol the forest, protecting the area from threats of savage humanoids, dangerous beasts and malicious Fey.
